HOLYHYDRA 2020

An extraordinary documentary about an extraordinary festival. The two-day event Holy Hydra is organized by the crew around the cultural association “Raumteiler” and “Die Geile Hydra”. It includes a variety of performances that culminate in a rave every evening and has been taking place in a consecrated church every year since 2018. This documentation is a contemporary testimony of a changing society and the attempts at rapprochement between club culture and religious culture. It shows how a group of different people organize themselves to create something beautiful and inspiring together.
